It is that time of year!! Thanksgiving is over and now the mad rush before Christmas! I usually try to get all of my Christmas gift shopping done by the first week of December so I can wrap everything and enjoy the Christmas tree being full for a few weeks with pretty presents! ??
I find that when someone asks me what I want for Christmas or my Birthday I completely blank out and have no idea so I'm never any help to any of my family or friends that are trying to buy for me or my husband.
A few years ago I started creating a board on Pinterest and I called it "Christmas 20XXWish List" (the 20XX is the year). Then I get online and as I surf the web and see random items I pin them to my board so that I don't forget them and then later on I can share my board with my Mom, Sisters, etc. I find that there's items that I would never think to ask someone for that would be perfect for a stocking stuffer, etc.
This year I realized that when I created my board Pinterest gives you the option to "Create a Section"...it was music to my hot little fingers as I quickly created a section for my husband on my same board!!!
Here's an example of what our Christmas 2017 Wish List looks like!
Here's a screenshot of how you can add a section once you create a board on Pinterest
Now that we have been doing this for a few years it's fun to shop for our family because we know we're at least on somewhat the right track when we are trying to decide where to spend our money for a nice gift.
The only negative is if someone gets the same gift twice but we just make sure to have gift receipts or communicate with others in your family and you'll be fine. ?
The other cool thing you can do is put notes in the description of the pin so say for example you want a pair of shoes or a shirt, you can put the size and/or color that you prefer in the description so all of that information is already there for the person buying your gifts.
I hope this helps you create a digital Christmas Gift Wish List for you and your family! Let me know if you have any questions! Happy pinning!
Such a great idea! Another reason why Pinterest is everything! I’m gonna use this idea next year. 🙂
